OK, I'll give you the good news first.
Via Chris McCoskey of the Detroit News:
Sunday's Lions-Jets game at Ford Field is a sellout and will be shown on local television.
"It's just a great testament to our fans," Lions president Tom Lewand said. "We have gotten great support all year. Even last week when we didn't sell out, it was loud and they had a great impact on that game. We have had a great home-field advantage."
That's some good news! We can call Ty's "Operation Sellout" campaign at The Lions in Winter a rousing success.
But there's more!
Via the resurrected Awful Announcing, we have the official word from CBS as to which broadcast team will do the TV play by play...
New York Jets @ Detroit Lions (CBS, 1PM) - Gus Johnson, Steve Tasker - Ford Field, Detroit, MI (bold my emphasis)
Yes, the best announcer in the business, the man who owns the NCAA tournament, the one and only Gus Johnson, will be in Detroit to call Jets - Lions!

We are not worthy...
The Fort Minor remix posted below has many of Gus Johnson's best NCAA Tournament calls, including my all-time favorite, "Bautista with the CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTCH!"
Gus makes any game must see TV. The fact he's calling the Lions game, which will not be blacked out, makes Sunday afternoon that much sweeter.
There should be a law requiring Gus Johnson to be the the play by play man for every big event, no matter the sport. Gus could make cricket an edge of the seat nail-biter.
Make yourselves useful, Congress. Get on it!
