It sure seems so, as another ex-Lion has taken a few thinly veiled shots at his former employer.
The latest to burn bridges? Ernie Sims.
Via Philadelphia sports site GCobb.com:
“It just feels good to be back to what I’m used to, what I’m accustomed to – winning. My whole life, that’s what I was used to. Being back in this environment, my career, my play is going to get even higher. I was telling my wife that I never played in a Monday night game, a night football game, any of that in the NFL. Every (Thanksgiving) game we played was a blowout. It just feels good to be in the spotlight all over again.”
Once more, for emphasis: "Every game we played was a blowout."
Yes, there were plenty of blowouts while Sims was a Lion. I wonder why?

This is how Sims will be remmebered in Detroit: Out of position and unable to make the tackle...
Could it be Sims never living up to his high 1st round draft status had something to do with all those blowouts?
Could Sims' blowing defensive assignments in order to freelance (badly, at that) have something to do with those blowouts?
Could Sims lacking the tackling fundamentals most junior high school linebackers have down cold have something to do with those blowouts?
Could Sims under performing while being highly overpaid have something to do with those blowouts?
Could Sims being nothing more than your below average NFL linebacker, who really isn't all that good to begin with, have something to do with all those blowouts?
This line from the article just slays me...
They want more big plays from their linebackers and Sims along with middle linebacker Stewart Bradley will be the guys counted on him to establish the personality of this defense.
Seriously?
The next big play Sims makes...wait a sec. Has he even made a big play since his rookie year?
The only thing Sims will give the Eagles' defense is a personality disorder...a disorder involving missing tackles and blown assignments.
Sims claiming he'll play at a higher level because he's on a winning team fucking INFURIATES me. Only now that he's left for greener pastures, he finally feels the need to step up his play. As if the Lions, and by extension, we fans who buy tickets, paying Sims tens of millions of dollars wasn't motivation enough...
Being a Lions fan makes me bitter. Having to defend the Lions gets me pissed off. Sims has bitterly pissed me off.
Ernie Sims can go straight to Hell.
I'm sick and tired of former players blaming the Lions for their troubles, when those players themselves had just as much to do with the Lions' issues. The Lions sucked because they sucked. Period.
Claiming otherwise doesn't make it so.
