I apologize for the late posting, but I was tied up at U of M hospital for my pre-op appointments for most of Tuesday.
Between you amd me, the LAST thing I feel like doing after my all too frequent doctors visits is working on the blog.
By the way, I'm scheduled to go under the knife June 4th, nearly 53 weeks to the day after my last back surgery. I'm told to expect approximately 2-3 week recovery time, compared to last years 5 months. After the turtleshell bondage of last summer, I can do 2-3 weeks standing on my head with one hand tied around my back.
With that out of the way...
My co-host Greg Eno had family obligations on Monday night, so it took 3 guest hosts to replace him on The Knee Jerks!
In the first hour, we talked Detroit Tigers with Dan Holmes (@twebman on Twitter), former editor of the The Baseball Page. We covered the entire spectrum of Tigers topics, from Carlos Guillen becoming the new 2nd baseman to reminiscing over the late 70's-early 80's Tigers, the last era the team was consistently developing homegrown position players.
The second hour of the show was devoted to the Detroit Lions. Discussing the events of the off season were long-time listen Brian DuJardin and Ty Schalter (@LionsinWinter on Twitter), the man behind the must read Lions blog, The Lions in Winter. Once again, we covered the gamut, from Pacman Jones to the best use of Jahvid Best, and everything in between. As Ty told me after the show, we could have done another hour!
All in all, it was a very informative and fun 120+ minutes, and if I say so myself, worth a download!
