Seriously? Adam "Pacman" Jones?
Sure, why the Hell not?
I couldn't care less about the "Makin' it rain" incident. I don't care about his past brushes with Johnny Law. So what if Jones was a handful in his days with the Titans and the Cowboys?
I really don't care.
All I care about is one thing. If Jones can still play cornerback and return kicks. He was a 6th overall draft pick for a reason, and it wasn't because of his love of strip clubs and tendency to pack heat.

If it means wins, Pacman can style all he wants with the Lions
Friday, Adam Jones worked out for several teams, and according to the National Football Post, the most interested were the Niners and not unsurprisingly, the cornerback wanting Lions.
OK, you may be asking why any team would be interested in signing a known head case? Why would any team want to risk hundreds of thousands, if not millions, on a a player the CFL wouldn't touch?
The Freep's Carlos Monarrez has the answer:
Jones' agent, Ray Savage, told the league's Web site Jones ran the 40-yard dash in 4.42 seconds and 4.48 seconds.
Those would qualify as excellent times. At last month's NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis, Wake Forest's Brandon Ghee had the top time in the 40 among cornerbacks at 4.45.
That's why the Lions are interested.
I'm sure you know of the old platitude, "Beggars can't be choosers." Well, that where the Lions franchise finds themselves, having to take risks, look where more talented teams wouldn't bother.
With Jones, the Lions would be taking a huge risk...but could reap an even larger reward. Jones truly is that talented. At least he was a few years ago with the Titans, and his former coach, the Lions' own Jim Schwartz, remembers.
Knowing Schwartz's past history with Pacman, will Martin Mayhew take a leap of faith and sign Jones?
I really don't know, and I'm guessing they aren't sure about Jones in Allen Park, either. But Schwartz's time coaching him in Tennessee gives him better insight than most. If Schwartz believes he can handle Pacman, I would tend to give him the benefit of the doubt.
If the Lions think Pacman still has game, what better time to take a risk but in a season without a salary cap? It's only going to cost money, of which the Lions have plenty.
What the Lions don't have plenty of is depth at cornerback.
If Pacman's head is still in stripper and Benjamin land, then the Lions can pass. At least they kicked the tires, so to speak. But if Jones' head is on straight (which is asking a lot), he would go a long way toward filling a long-time, gaping roster hole.
Which is why it wouldn't bother me in the least if the Lions signed Pacman Jones. At this point, I care more about wins, than if a talented nut-case cornerback likes to make it rain.
If adding a nut case to the Lions' roster means more wins...then get him to sign on the line which is dotted.
