Via Killer Kowaslski at Mlive:
During playoff games only, each team will get at least one chance for a possession. If the team that wins the coin flip scores a touchdown on the first possession, the game is over.
If the first team kicks a field goal or doesn't score, the opposing team will get an opportunity to score. If the game is tied after both possessions, a sudden death format ensues..
Obviously, this won't affect the Lions for...well, no one knows, save for the Football Gods, though it won't be anytime soon. But I do approve of the change, and the fact the Lions were one of the 28 teams voting "yea."
