Yes, it's true. Not one member of the Detroit Lions made the AP NFL All-Pro team.
At least they weren't alone.
The Lions are among 10 teams that did not place a player on the Associated Press NFL All-Pro first or second teams that were announced this morning.
The others are Atlanta, Buffalo, Chicago, Jacksonville, Kansas City, the New York Giants, Seattle, Tampa Bay and Washington.
In case you were wondering, the last Detorit Lion named 1st team NFL All-Pro was Eddie Drummond, who made the team as a return specialist in 2004. For position players, the last Lions to make 1st team were Barry Sanders and Herman Moore in 1997. The closest a Lions defender has come to making 1st team was Stephen Boyd, who was 2nd team in 2000. Before that, you have go back to Chris Spielman in the mid-90s.
Here's the 2009 All-Pro team, as selected by the AP.
