The depth of dedication Detroit sports fans have for their pro sports teams is something we already know. Most of us are suffering due to the economic downturn, yet we still support our teams unequivocally.
But to drive that point home emphatically, the Lions, owners of an 18 game losing streak and all the crap which comes with it, announced Sunday's game with the Vikings is officially a sellout.
There will be no blackout in SE MI...this week.
I'm not sure if selling out a game featuring arguably the worst team in organized sports is an accomplishment we should be proud of, or outright ashamed.

Detroit Lions PR discussing the IQ of their fan base
What kind of message are we sending the Lions? We'll accept losing? We're NFL sheep? We love the NFL, no matter who is playing, or how bad the team? We hate ourselves so much, we'll subject ourselves to some of the worst football imaginable as some sort of self-flagellation? No matter what the answer, I'm sure William Clay Ford is...too senile to care.
Screw it. Proud or ashamed, message sent or not, retarded or...retarded, at least I'll be able to watch the game!
