Wonder of wonders, this Sunday's Lions home game is a sellout!

Per the Detroit News:

The Lions have sold out Sunday's home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, meaning the game will shown locally on CBS.

There is an underlying reason the game is not blacked out.

Steelers fans.

Without their extreme uber-fandom of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and willingness to travel the country far and wide to follow their team, I wouldn't be able to watch the Lions on my nice, big TV. I'd be stuck trolling the web for shaky, low quality, illicit web streams.

This Lions fan says...Thank you!

Unfortunately, the stands in Ford Field are going to look like this...

It's going to be a virtual road game for the Lions. When you've won all of 2 of your last 26 games, your fanbase is not going to shell out big bucks (or even moderate bucks) for tickets. You have to depend on the road team to get your games televised locally.

So be it. It's a small price to pay. At least I get to see the damn game.
