Matthew Stafford injured his knee in the 2nd half of this afternoon's blowout loss to the Bears. The usual talking heads (Glaser, Mortensen) are reporting the Lions believe Stafford suffered a kneecap subluxation.
What in the Hell is a kneecap subluxation you ask? Hell if I know, so I looked it up!
Turns out it's a temporary dislocation of the kneecap. The kneecap popped out of place, then back in.

According to the National Midnight News Weekly World News Pro Football Talk, Stafford likely will be fine, but will have an MRI on Monday to make sure there was no other damage when when his knee was capped. So the rookie is not out of the woods yet.
Best case scenario says Stafford may miss a game or two. Worst case? We don't know yet. There may not be one, unless you consider Daunte Culpepper getting a considerable amount of playing time under center a worst case scenario.
Personally...I do.
Stafford is the future, and any missed time will delay the learning process of being an NFL quarterback.
Just the Lions' luck...
