Straight from the Lions' mouth, your Detroit @ Chicago injury report for NFL week 4...

Lions @ Bears injury report

No real surprises for the Lions. Kevin Smith is likely going to be a game time decision. If you believe Smith, he's definitely going to play. If you believe The Schwartz, who's been less than upfront about injuries, Smith's status is still up in the air. If I were still a betting man, I'd bet on Smith playing. He may not start, but he will play.

If I'm Cliff Avril and Ernie Sims, I'm doing my damnedest to get back on the field, considering the impressive performances we've seen from their replacements, Jason Hunter and DeAndre Levy, respectively. Even getting healthy may not be enough for the Avril and Sims to regain their starting sports.

I am concerned about man-mountain and defensive tackle Grady Jackson. He's yet to practice, but the Lions may have ulterior motives. Jackson's a vet, and not getting any younger...or smaller. He knows how to get ready for a game, and the Lions may just be keeping his activity to minimum in order to keep the line clogging run stopper healthy for 16 games.

When it comes to injuries, always remember the words of Dalton. "Pain don't hurt."
