Tonight on The Knee Jerks...LIVE! - No Canseco, so it's a Lions roundtable!

As we're not expecting Jose Canseco to come through, Eno and I have a backup plan. A Detroit Lions roundtable!

Making their second appearance on The Knee Jerks are Bleacher Report's featured Lions columnists, Michael Schottey (Michael's bio: http://bit.ly/3MIUrN) and Dean Holden (Dean's bio: http://bit.ly/10OWY3). Michael also writes for the RoarReport.com and DraftTek.com, and is the Producer/Host of The Average Joe Sports Show (860AM KNUJ/KNUJ.net--6:05 PM EST each Sunday). Along with writing for The Bleacher Report, Dean is also the "Voice of the Lions" on NFLTouchdown.com (nfltouchdown.com/category/detroit-lions/).

As you might guess, we'll discuss Matthew Stafford's flameout in Seattle along with the current status of the Detroit Lions. Michael and Dean will give us their midseason report, and just how they expect the Lions to finish the season. We'll tackle the positives and negatives, likes and hates. The who, what, where, how and why of the Detroit Lions.

After the Lions-fest, Eno and I will take on the stories of the day in Detroit.

Michigan Wolverines: After a pair of ugly losses to Illinois and Purdue, where do the Wolverines, and more importantly, Rich Rodriguez, go from here?

Detroit Red Wings: Another day, another delibiltating injury, as Jason Williams breaks his leg. With Williams missing the next 8 weeks, will the Red Wings finally break down and make a trade or pick up an unsigned free agent? Or will GM Ken Holland continue to plug the ever widening roster holes from within?

Detroit Pistons: Injuries are the story with the Pistons as well, as Rip Hamilton has missed all but one game with a sprained ankle, and Tayshaun Prince is out indefinitely with a ruptured disc in his back. Could the vets going down be a blessing in disguise? Will the remaining Pistons, who are extremely young and need to gel as a team, step up and show they can play in the NBA?

As always, to end the show we'll also name our respective Jerk of the Week!

Tune in at 11PM every Monday night for the latest and greatest in sports talk...sports talk with a Detroit attitude! Of course, if you can't tune in live, the podcast will be available for download and streaming at our show page Tuesday morning!

The play that made me laugh
written by SS Reporters, November 10, 2009
As a Seahawks fan was the last INT that clinched the game. Not so much the INT itself but the fact that they ran play-action on 3rd and 10 with :33 to go and no timeouts.

Just that alone was shocking.

Oh BTW Stan Kwan should be fired immediately. Our special teams sucks with Bruce DeHaven but Forsett and Rankin somehow got big returns.

Love this blog and I read it everyday.
