Miller just lost his shit on the radio, as Zach Follett just murdered someone on kick coverage! Brandstatter called it the "HIT OF THE YEAR!"  Would loved to have seen it live...Fucking NFL.

//facepalm// Jansen called for holding AGAIN. 1:14 left, 2nd and motherfucking 20. I hate the Lions.

Stafford in the gun...overthrows Johnson. It's now 4th and forever.

Stafford back to throw..looks for Johnson deep...and it's not even close. Lions turn the ball over on downs, and take over at the Lions 10. Awful set of downs for Stafford and the Lions.

Rams win, Lions are still in the hunt for the 1st overall draft pick.

Yes, worst team ever works for me, Josh. This was a BAD loss. Enough to shake my confidence in The Schwartz a little. Even Don Banks at SI is beginning to wonder, as he said on the dot com; "Got to hit your lay-ups in this league, Leos. And having the Rams at your place should be a W. No excuses."

MW32, thanks for the tips on the feeds. I never had so much trouble trying to find any game online in the past. But this was the exception to the rule, this game no one wanted to stream.

Relief

In perverse sort of way, this was a bit of a relief for me. I became so used to reading the papers and the blogs after the losses last year, that I kind of looked forward to the inventive way that each commenter would describe the epic hole that the Lions were digging themselves into. I actually looked forward to the disdain show by everyone because that was what I had come to expect.

The win against the Redskins stirred just the tiniest bit of hope in me. But, being a Lions fan, it was enough to give me that outside bit of confidence that we would win again this year. I was not as big a fool as some, predicting 4 or 5 wins, but secretly, in my heart, I harbored the thought of a 3 win season. Oh, the joy of it. The pure rapture of tasting 3, count 'em 3 wins in ONE year. For the Lions. I almost had to smoke a cigarette right now just thinking about it.

But today, I am back to earth. Ready to take on the heaping scorn, disregard, and laughter of the rest of the NFL for that is my lot in life.....I am a Lions fan.

You can see the Zach Follet hit at NFL.com. It is worth it to access their site to see this hit. Even if we finish 1-15 instead of 2-14, this season will have been worth it for this hit.
