Browns at Lions injury report

So this is what it's come down to, a pair of 1-8 teams playing for the right to have the 1st overall pick in the upcoming draft. Both Cleveland and Detroit blow and suck, depending on the derogatory insult you prefer.

Does it really matter who's healthy or not when the rosters are this damn bad?

No.

Hell, after another fall of crappy football from the Wolverines and the Lions, the season can't end soon enough.

But I digress.

Health is relative. Health is zen. As in...pain don't hurt.

I need a little cheering up after watching a metric ton of crap football from the Wolverines and Sparty today.  To add a pep to my step, here's an animated .gif showing one of the best scenes in cinema history. What might it be?

The fat henchman in "Road House" screaming in terror, shooting at a stuffed polar bear as it falls on him. Dude should have won an Oscar...

Millen's Vote of Confidence
written by Uncle Omar, November 21, 2009
To follow up on your comment regarding the Wolverines. Today Matt Millen gave Rich Rodriquez a vote of confidence, saying what a great coach he is. (Better than Marenelli? I asked.) He then followed up by pointing out that UM had many fine players, pieces in place so to speak, but lacked speedy, sure-handed receivers, big, strong defensive linemen, fast defensive backs, a solid offensive line, quick linebackers, and a power running game. Other than that UM is set. And we wonder why the Lions are 1-8. I haven't been Rodriquez' biggest fan, but with support from Millen he's becoming an almost sympathetic character. And thanks to the UConn Huskies for putting another nail in Charlie Weis' coffin, unless the ND boosters can't come up with the $18 mil they need to get rid of him.

Omar, I guess Michigan listened to Millen.

Eearlier tonight Sailboat Billy officially announced RichRod was coming back for the 2010 season. How far has UofM fallen when they have to announce their coach will return?

I haven't been impressed at all by RichRod either, but they pretty much have to bring him back. But I totally agree with the media (Albom, Wojo, the usual suspects) saying he has to win next season. Not win big, but win, say, 7 games and make a bowl game.

Thing is, I'm not sure the roster will have the talent to get there next season. It's going to be fascinating to watch the behind the scenes BS with the old blues ready to stab the coach in the back.

Millen is what he is at this point. Talks a good a game, but his credibility is ZERO.

As for Weis, rumors are already flying around the web he's done at South Bend. Can't say I blame them. Weis is all talk, no action and thinks he's smarter than the average football coach. Not a good mix at a place like ND.
