The Vikings have outgained the Lions 302 to 125 on offense. Favre is 11-16-197. Peterson has 100 yards on the ground on 8.3 YPC. Rice has 6 catches for 145.
Yet the Lions are only down 7.
If I'm a Vikings fan, I'm furious. I'm guessing this is how your typical Vikes fan sees Brad Childress.

Smith takes the handoff, gets 7...HUH? Fumble? Yep, and the Vikes have it. Replay confirms it. Vikes take over at the Lions' 29.
Peterson gets the handoff...cutback, as Jason Hunter, once again, loses contain...and Peterson rumbles all the way to the Detroit 1.

Lions are actually trying to respond after the Smith fumble, and Vikings score.

Stafford in the gun...BLITZ! Gets it off...Northcutt gets the 1st down at the 16! Not a bad call by Linehan, and nicely thrown by Stafford...even though he's facing a HUGE rush with a bum knee.

Vikes take over at their 40, as the Lions' unguided missile, Zack Follett, dodges a personal foul, as the returner had just stepped out of bounds. To be honest, it would have been a marginal call, at best. Though the FOX play by play guys made it sound blatant.
Anyway, the 3rd end with the Vikings in decent field position. But it's still, amazingly enough, a game.
