Yes, it true. It's quite likely the Lions will have a full house Sunday. Meaning we'll be able to watch their 14th loss of the season from the comfort of home.
The Detroit Lions are very close to a sellout for Sunday's game at Ford Field against the Chicago Bears. According to team spokesman Bill Keenist, about 1,000 tickets remain for the game.
As if we need to be reminded, the game must be sold out by 1PM Thursday, normal blackout rules apply, the NFL is full of money grubbing whores, blah, blah, blah.
Sure, a sellout would be great. I won't have to look for crappy web streams. Thing is, a sellout won't happen because of we Lions fans. We're fed up with being sick and tired of the same old same old. We aren't about to shell out a considerable amount of cash on this abomination of a franchise.
But there is a fan base who will get all spendy on their team.
It's a given the Ford Field stands will look like this...

And downtown Detroit will be invaded by fans who believe Da Bears' Mini-Ditka would beat every team 102-0...

If it takes an invasion of bratwurst gnawing, beer swilling Chris Farley lookalikes in order for a blackout to be lifted...it's cool by me! Downtown Detroit bars could use the business, and I just want to watch the damn game.
