Culpepper speaks about Thanksgiving: "I ain't got nothin' to say about it"

According to the News' John Niyo, Daunte Culpepper wants to set the record straight regarding his actions on Thanksgiving.

Martin Mayhew dressing down Daunte Culpepper

Mayhew's body language sure says, "Sit your whiny damn ass down!"

Quoting Culpepper, via Niyo:

"Me and Martin had no problem at all. We didn't argue one bit. It's as simple as that. Anything else, it is what it is. But Martin and I didn't have any problem."

Is it an argument when only one side (Mayhew) is doing ALL the talking, and possibly, yelling? It's all in the semantics, I guess.

If there is anything considered a non-denial denial, in this case regarding his hissy fit over not starting, Culpepper's statement fits the bill.

Asked if there was a communication issue on gameday, Culepper said Friday, "I mean, clearly it was. But, hey, it is what it is."

This is even more telling, When asked about the coaching staff, Culpepper implies plenty by not saying much of anything.

"I ain't got nothin' to say about it. But it was handled. The situation was handled. And I'm moving on."

Moving on? Not soon enough for my tastes. Culpepper had his chance, both this season and last. He blew it. Playing on Thanksgiving was not going to change a damn thing. Culpepper is a washed up shell of a quarterback.

After reading what the "I'm not fat, I'm big-boned" Lions backup quarterback had to say (and not say) anyone else get the impression Culpepper's bags are already packed, his car is idling, and it's pointed straight out of Detroit?

Maybe it's just me, but I absolutely hate that "it is what it is" phrase.

You aren't alone, Paavo. Culpepper did little more than spew a few clichés.
